St. Dorothy School's mission is to
promote academic excellence, to inspire its students to be lifelong
learners and to possess the skills to compete in a global society.
We teach Catholic/Christian values and partner with families to create a
spirit of stewardship and service.
We envision St. Dorothy School as a community
where
Learning is celebrated in a safe, nurturing and structured
atmosphere
Students are consistently challenged and supported in their
spiritual, intellectual, emotional, aesthetic, and physical growth
and development.
Tolerance, courtesy, and respect are learned and expected of
students and staff.
A
sense of the sacred is valued and the Catholic identity of the
school is obvious.
Daily prayer and reflection is fostered as a basis for a life of
faith and Christian service to others.
A
strong relationship between school, parents, parish, and community
is practiced.
We believe that
this mission can only be attained through the efforts of
priests, principal, faculty, staff, students, School Board, parents,
volunteers,
parishioners and community working together to graduate students with
the skills necessary to become competent, caring learners in the 21st
century.
