Sleeping in all day … Justin Ward

Justin used the Haiku form of poetry to express his feelings.  Eighth Grade has been learning that poetry must have purpose and form.  In addition, the students have been developing their thesis statements, researching and collecting information on note-cards, preparing bibliography cards and beginning outlines for their research papers.  Every student has a research guideline and timeline worksheet to ease last minute frustrations.  Research papers are due May 13, 2008!  Some target dates for 8th grade parents to keep in mind are:

   May 17    Graduation Banquet

   May 18    Baccalaureate Mass

   May 22    Graduation outing/Navy  Pier Boat Trip      

   May 23    Retreat

   May 25    Graduation

Information concerning all of the above activities will be sent home the first week of May.  Hope all High School selections and registrations have been completed.  Any concerns or questions, don’t hesitate to call.
